DESTROYING THE PUBLIC REALM STREET BY STREET
This movie is shot a week or so after MOVIE NUMBER ONE. Supposedly
the illegal bus parking issue had been cleared up in Toronto's Downtown
Waterfront! But as you will see it hasn't changed in the least! On the
video you'll see an empty bus parking lot while at the same time -
there are lines of
buses illegally parked
everywhere. Naturally, there were even more
illegally parked buses on other streets in the waterfront neighborhood.
At the beginning of the video, you'll see a parking lot for cars -
where the middle class are paying $20 to park their car. But, at the
same time, right in front of the car parking lot - you can see buses
parked illegally right in front of No Parking, No Standing , No
Stopping
signs. Are these buses given parking infractions tickets? No! While the
middle class folks have to pay $20 to park their cars -
multi-millionaire bus
business owners don't have to pay a cent to park their vehicle
(illegally).
